HowTo: Enable Desktop in Fedora 18

This settings will give your Fedora 18 a much more familiar look and feel. This will move you to fallback mode and enable your desktop.

Step 1:
open terminal and type the following (double check your typings!!)

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.session session-name gnome-fallback
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons true
gnome-session-quit
**your desktop will be logged out**


Step 2:
log back in
